Euro News Agency corrects substantive factual errors openly and promptly. Publishing a correction is a normal part of responsible journalism, not an exception to it.
How to report an error
Anyone can request a correction through the contact page. To help us act quickly, please include:
- the URL of the article or video concerned;
- the specific passage you believe is inaccurate;
- what the correct information is, and any source supporting it.
How we respond
We acknowledge correction requests within five working days. Where an error is confirmed, the content is corrected as quickly as reasonably possible. Where we conclude the content is accurate, we explain our reasoning to the person who raised it.
How corrections are shown
- Substantive corrections — an error affecting a fact, figure, name, date, quotation or the meaning of a passage. The text is corrected and a dated correction note is appended to the article explaining what changed.
- Minor amendments — typographical errors, broken links and formatting fixes. These are made silently, without a note.
- Significant revisions — where new information materially changes the substance of a piece, the article carries a dated update note at the top.
- Retractions — where a piece cannot be corrected, it is retracted. The page remains online carrying a clear retraction notice rather than being deleted.
We do not remove correction notes once published. The record of what was changed, and when, stays with the article.
Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may ask for the matter to be reviewed directly by the Editorial Director, Bourbiza Mohamed.
