Euro News Agency operates with an editorial approach based on independence, accuracy, contextual reporting and respect for the people and places we cover. This policy applies to all journalism, documentary work and commissioned production published by the agency.
Editorial standards
Our work is clear, sourced, free from avoidable exaggeration and grounded in relevant cultural, geopolitical and professional context. Reporting is based on first-hand observation wherever possible. Where we rely on secondary sources, they are identified and, where practical, corroborated.
Claims that cannot be verified are presented as claims, with attribution. Speculation is labelled as such and kept separate from reporting.
Editorial independence
Editorial judgement is kept separate from commercial and promotional pressure. No advertiser, sponsor, client or partner has any right of approval over editorial content, nor any influence over how a subject is reported.
Sponsored, commissioned and partnership work
The agency produces commissioned video, destination marketing and branded content alongside independent journalism. These are different categories of work and are treated differently.
- Commissioned and sponsored content is clearly labelled as such at the point of publication.
- Case studies of client work are published in a dedicated portfolio section, not presented as editorial reporting.
- Travel, accommodation or access provided by a third party is disclosed within the relevant piece.
Sources and confidentiality
We protect the identity of confidential sources. Where anonymity is granted, the reason is explained to readers in general terms. We do not pay sources for interviews.
Images, video and AI
Photographs and footage published as journalism are not manipulated beyond standard adjustments to exposure, colour and cropping that do not alter the meaning of the image. Aerial footage is captured in compliance with the civil aviation rules of the country of operation.
Generative AI is not used to create images or footage presented as documentary record. Where AI tools assist with research, transcription or translation, editorial responsibility for the published result remains entirely human.
Accuracy and corrections
Substantive factual errors are reviewed and corrected as quickly as reasonably possible. Our procedure is set out in the Corrections Policy, and our verification process in the Fact-Checking Policy.
Editorial responsibility
Final editorial responsibility rests with Bourbiza Mohamed, Founder and Editorial Director, a working journalist since 1998. Editorial concerns can be raised through the contact page.
